Kas has contacted me about having a meeting, in a tavern, in the tiny village of Tassbar. The Black Lantern Tavern is a small three story place with three entrances into the common room, one from the entrance, one from the kitchen, which also goes to the root cellar and out the back, and one up to the second floor rooms. Owned by Orkan, a short fat orc. He puts off the persona of being dimwitted but after speaking with him for awhile, you learn quickly that he’s acutely intelligent and is capable of the long game.

Kas “The Bloody” is also a planner. I’m sure Vecna had something to do with this meeting, I don’t think Kas would have come up with this on his own. He wouldn’t stick his neck out this far, well not for a treaty with someone his owner could snuff out of existence with a blink of his eye.

Treaty? no, what he is looking for is a truce. After speaking with some of my agents in Vecna’s upper circle, I have found that they know Strahd has the secret to killing the Raven Queen. They want a truce to have us help battle it out with her. Strahd is no contender for that throne, we would lose enough of our followers that Vecna’s troops could just wash over the rest of us and take all of Strahd’s land.

Also looking into Qobess, CEO of Sidra’ath Entertainment Group, he seems to have a new event coordinator, Sha’drath. They seem to work with small and large venues, private or public events. Qobess’ work culture relies on his ability to make money and then buy more Githzerai as workers for his business. He doesn’t seem to hold them as slaves, but instead offers them employment. Maybe he uses some type of manipulation to keep them, but as of yet, I haven’t been able to find anything.

Strahd working with Orcus was a brilliant chain of events that lead to many surprising outcomes. Although making and distributing Orcus’ items has drawn the attention of The Scarlet Sash a small group of do-gooders set to relieve people on the material plane of cursed items. One of the many things Strahd gained from the “alliance” was learning The Raven Queen’s true name.
