Bower’s Journal
Shadowfell – Dec 1855
Something is wrong with Kas, he didn’t have dinner yesterday evening and he’s already up before me this morning. I knew I wasn’t going to be privy to everything that happened in the meeting yesterday, but I know something happened to affect this change.
The Terg is gone, taken to Strahd’s castle, Kas said that Rahadin agreed to a treaty and would discuss a fight against the Raven Queen in the morning. He has found out the Raven Queen’s real name and feels confident that the mornings meeting will go well.
Kas skipped breakfast, something he never does, saying that he wanted to be the first one into the meeting today to have “the upper hand” on negotiations today. He’s never skipped a breakfast, not even when going into battle. Always holding to the idea that breakfast gets you going in the morning, gives you energy for the day ahead.
Bandard is openly smiling this morning, while waiting for Kas and Rahadin to get out of their meeting, he asks, “So are you planning to make the same decision Kas has made? Ah, maybe you are too old to make that decision. Pity.”
I asked him exactly what he was insinuating, but unfortunately he decided to button up at that point to just let me stew for the next several hours. Finally he got up around lunch time and brought over two goblets of the hag’s blood that they have been raving about for the past few days and just smiled going back to his book.
