Sha’drath, a Githzerai purchased a few years back, was an excellent purchase, he has proven himself to be a competent assistant. This nonsense of keeping the Gith as slaves is a ridiculous notion. Buying 1 or 2 at a time I’ve been able to secure a few hundred Gith their freedom and employed many of them in various positions in the business.

Today I sent Sha’drath off to meet with Orkan, a nobody in the Shadowfell, looking to make his inn seem more important than it is. I was impressed when he came back with a long list of necessities and requests, he upsold almost every option we had. Sha’drath seemed excited when he got back, thinks he made a good impression on Orkan. I won’t lie, I’m a little proud. I trained Sha’drath myself and he has come along well.

Looking back over the past few years of Sha’drath’s employment, I can see that he has never taken a vacation, always worked the extra hours, and has progressively gotten better at his job since starting with us.

I informed Sha’drath that he will personally be in charge of this event. Having never done this before, I told him to go confirm with all of the vendors and entertainment, make a detailed program, and report back to me.

Floating around the outside of our building I spoke to a few of the workers installing a new spire after the last one was assaulted by a small rebellion contingent of githyanki thinking that I was keeping people here as slaves. Fools, simpletons, they killed half of their force trying to invade and being killed by their own kind defending me. Wasteful.
